2021 marks the 47th anniversary for the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival! Every year, hundreds of thousands of people celebrate at the festival's many offerings. Daily concerts at festival stages are scattered along 30 blocks of the boardwalk and feature 27 performances from local, regional, and national recording artists. On the boardwalk, you can find over 250 artisans displaying handmade work, at an Art & Craft Show that has been ranked #5 out of 200 Fine Art and Design Shows across the country. Keep walking to find 22 magnificent sand sculptures created by world-renowned international sculptors at Neptune's International Sandsculpting Championship. Other weekend events include Neptune's 8k Race, Grand Parade, Volleyball Tournament, Atlantic Regatta, Youth Art Show, and more! See below for information on all Boardwalk Weekend events.

Parking

Municipal parking lots are located on Atlantic Avenue at 4th Street, Rudee Loop, 2nd Street, and on Pacific Avenue at 19th Street and Croatan Beach. The lots charge a daily fee from April 1 to October 31. The municipal parking garages are located on Pacific Avenue at 9th Street, 25th Street, and 31st Street. The maximum fee for the day at any of the garage locations is $10 unless staying overnight.

Designated on-street parking for people with disabilities is available at Rudee Loop, 2nd, 6th, 7th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 20th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 30th, 33rd, 34th, 36th, 37th, 38th. Designated off-street parking for people with disabilities is available in all municipal lots. To park in these spaces requires A PROPERLY DISPLAYED sticker, windshield placard, license plate, or other officially issued tag. No placard will be honored unless the person to whom the placard is issued is riding in the vehicle. Additionally, any vehicle visibly marked with a "handicapped" tag or other form of identification may park at any metered location for free up to 4 hours. Universally-accessible ramps are located at every beach access in the resort area.

Resident Parking Discount (available by showing a valid driver's license with a Virginia Beach address) is $3 at all City parking garages and lots upon entrance after 5 p.m.

Festival Transportation

The Hampton Roads Transit Atlantic Avenue Shuttle (Route 30) leads to restaurants and oceanfront attractions, with service every 15 minutes, 8 a.m.-2 a.m. daily.

The Bayfront Shuttle (Route 35) runs from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront (Resort Area) to First Landing State Park, through the North End beaches up to the Bayfront along Shore Drive (Bay Area). Service is offered about every 45 minutes, 8 a.m. – midnight, Friday-Sunday.

The Aquarium and Campground Shuttle (Route 31) takes you to Virginia Aquarium and fun parks along General Booth Blvd, with service about every 20 minutes, 9:30 a.m.-midnight, Friday-Sunday.

Single fares for all shuttles are $2 or less. You can pay with cash onboard or use cash, debit or credit cards to purchase multiple-day passes and fare cards at Sunsations locations along Atlantic Avenue or at ticket vending machines along Atlantic Avenue at 13th, 17th, 29th, 37th and 41st Streets.

ROAD CLOSURES
Atlantic Avenue, between 5th-36th Streets, will be closed Saturday, 9/25 from 7:00am-9:15am, and again from 10:00am-1:00pm.
