The 59th Annual Halifax Art Festival, November 6 and 7, 2021, has a brand new layout! The City of Daytona Beach has redesigned Beach Street reducing it from our previous four lanes to two lanes. Our beautiful median of palm trees remains. This year, we will be including City Island as well as Beach Street with Magnolia Avenue providing our artists and shoppers with a centralized new layout.

The Halifax Art Festival is the second oldest continual festival in Florida. The Festival features a unique blend of fine arts, crafts, music, food, and fun. Admission is free to the public with plenty of free parking for artful shoppers and artists.

The Festival features juried local, regional, and national original works of art from over 225 artists offering affordable art work for the established as well as the beginning collector.

A comprehensive, multi-layered marketing/publicity campaign draws 30,000 shoppers from the “World’s Most Famous Beach,” the I-4 Orlando/Tampa corridor, and local ‘snowbirds’ to the Festival.

The Festival features two sections – Competitive Fine Arts and Crafts which is juried and judged and eligible for prize and patron money.  Non-Competitive Arts are juried but not eligible for awards.  Art works in both sections are all original.

The Student Art Exhibit and Competition features art students from kindergarten through twelfth grade from the Volusia County public school system as well as area private schools. The student art is located at the News-Journal Center at Daytona State College, 221 North Beach Street, Daytona Beach, during Festival hours. After the Sunday Awards Ceremony, the winning art will be displayed at the Daytona’s Museum of Arts & Sciences, 352 South Nova Road, Daytona Beach, Florida, for one week.

The Festival, also, supports Children, Pre-K to 5 years old. They are invited to pick up a “Little Van Gogh To Go” kit at the information booth. The “Little Van Gogh To Go” kit can be used at home to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. We invite parents to take a photo of their child’s artwork to post on Facebook, tagging @MOASDaytona and using the hashtag #LittleVanGogh so that their artwork can be featured on the Museum’s Facebook page for the community to enjoy.

Live music will be featured both Saturday and Sunday. Plenty of seating will be available on Beach Street for snacking and on City Island for music and snacks. Shoppers may choose from festival food or the many fine bistros and restaurants along Beach Street.

The 59th Halifax Art Festival is presented and produced by the Guild of the Museum of Arts & Sciences.  The Festival is the Signature fundraiser for the Museum and also benefits the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art and the Charles and Linda Williams Children’s Museum.   For information:  www.HalifaxArtFestival.org
